MITCHELL FAMILY REUNION

The Mitchell Family Reunion will hold their annual float trip Sat., Sept. 4, leaving Boiling Springs at 10 a.m. The carry in dinner will be Sun., Sept. 5, 1 p.m. at the Old City Park.

TOPS MEETING

The TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Club will meet Sept. 6, at the Pentecostal Holiness Church. Meetings are every Monday night at 7 p.m.; weigh-in at 6:30 p.m. We meet upstairs. The next meeting of the Ozarks Writers Group will be on Saturday, Sept. 4, at 1 p.m. at the Annex to the Star Theatre on Main Street in Willow Springs. It is a casual group with no joining fees. LICKING LIONS CLUB

The Licking Lions Club meets the first and third Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at Licking Bridge Builders Senior Center. Their next meeting will be Sept. 6.

4-H MEETING

Lynch Township’s meetings have been changed to the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m., at the Lynch Township Shed, 14472 Boiling Springs Road.

ALZHEIMER’S SUPPORT GROUP MEETING

Thursday, Sept. 9, the Salem United Methodist Church, 801 E Scenic Rivers Blvd, in affiliation with the Southwest Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association will host a support group meeting at the church beginning at 2 p.m. Anyone who is a family member, friend, or caregiver to someone suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease is welcome to come and learn more about the disease, care options, and experience mutual support from others dealing with the devastating disease. LHS TRIVIA NIGHT

Licking High School Girls Basketball will have a Trivia Night Sat., Sept. 11, 6 p.m. at Fox Community Building. Cost is $10.00 per person. Supper is at 6 p.m.; trivia at 6:45 p.m. Silent auction and 50/50 cash raffle throughout the night. Proceeds to benefit girls who need assistance in purchasing team supplies. TEXAS COUNTY DEMOCRATS

Texas County Democrats will be having a ham and bean supper for the public Tuesday evening, Sept. 21 at the Houston Senior Citizens’ Center on Grand Avenue in Houston. Dinner will be at 6 p.m. and former Senator Jean Carnahan will speak at 7 p.m.

The dinner will consist of ham and beans, fried potatoes, corn bread, coleslaw, desserts and drinks. There will be a charge at the door. There will also be an auction of donated items after the speaker.

ANTIQUE TRACTOR PRESERVATION DAY

FIRE RIDE

Raymondville Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a Motorcycle Fun Run & Power Ball through the beautiful Scenic Ozark Riverways on Sat., Sept. 25. Registration begins at Raymondville Fire Station on Hwy B at 9 a.m. First group of riders leave at 10 and the last group at noon. A hog roast and live music will follow at 4 p.m. at the fire station.
